WOODEN OVERCOAT

WOODEN OVERCOAT is a Portland dream-pop outfit where lo-fi garage psych meets 90s shoegaze, anchored by layered harmonies and an intimate vocal delivery. The name, an old Americana euphemism for a coffin, hints at the project's core: moody, mystical imagery balanced with light-hearted humor.

The project began as the sonic brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Brant, who wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered the debut Hello Sunbeam EP in a rented Portland basement. Now a full band, Brant (guitar, vocals) is joined on stage by Dillon (bass), Mac (guitar), Caleb (keys) and Brian (drums).
